The total cost of training will be influenced by many factors. Some factors have a predictable cost whereas others have a cost that can vary considerably. As an indication, some approximate costs are listed below:

All flight training is charged per hour. Hourly rates for our helicopters vary depending on the type of helicopter you choose to train in. Our current rates are listed below:
- Helicopter type Rate per flying hour
- Robinson R22 $495 + (GST)
- Robinson R44 $845 + (GST)
- Bell Jetranger $1040 + (GST)
It is difficult to place a total cost for private or commercial pilot’s licences as a significant factor in the cost is the number of hours that are needed to achieve the required standard. However, as a general guide a private licence will cost approximately $27,000.00 and a commercial licence will cost approximately $47,000.00.
