ORANGE AIRPORT

Central West Helicopter School at Orange Airport has been established to bring the experience of its partner training school Bankstown Helicopters to the Central West of NSW. Until now the opportunity for helicopter flight training in the Central and Western regions of NSW involved relocation to Sydney for the duration of the training.

Central West Helicopter School now offers the same Sydney based training expertise at a non controlled aerodrome in the heart of the Central West at Orange allow students to remain closer to family and friends while they train.

Central West Helicopter School uses modern fleet of 2 x R22's & 1 x R44 helicopters with additional larger machines available on request.

The Central West Helicopter School facilities adjoin the Bankstown Airport Business Centre, home of Heliflite, Australia's largest distributor of Robinson Helicopters.


OUR INSTRUCTORS

Central West Helicopter School has a number of instructors with a diverse range of backgrounds. With 5 Grade One Instructors and a further 4 Grade Two Instructors we’ll be able to tailor a course to suit your needs. All of our instructors have an extensive and thorough flying background allowing them to draw from a wealth of knowledge to pass on to our students.

Our current instructors have worked in emergency services (EMS), aerial photography, filming, surveying, scenic flying, stock mustering, fire bombing, power line inspection, sling load lifting and Australian Defence forces. Drawing on this wealth of knowledge and experience, enables us to bring the best out of every student. Past students and instructors have moved on to work for Bristows, CHC, Westpac, Child Flight and several other key helicopter companies.
